Have a friend who went to North Korea last year. She was appalled at the idea of leaders being considered gods, but she kept her mouth shut and got back to China, then, the U.S. without being arrested. :)
Ran across this description of North Korea (Corea) by a different group of people. Similar words were used by both to describe the experience.

Sad note. Looks like they're retiring the traffic girls. They were introduced to direct traffic because of sporadic power outages in the city. Then, they became a tourist attraction. (http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5272/5890214449_e60d48e49b_o.gif)
The world is fascinating with all its different kinds of people and ways of life. Every new encounter makes life more interesting.
Treating leaders as deities is historically more common than viewing them as men. North Korea is a great example of why it is a very bad practice.
Long live the 1st Amendment.
