It's got me confused.
Smith and Wesson made the Model 52 for quite a few years. It is 38 special and the Bullseye shooters loved them. Super accurate and easy to shoot. This was a limited edition for AMT. I have two of the smiths. The basic pistol is a steel framed Model 39 Smith set up for target shooting. The bushing is screwed in with a spanner wrench to get just the right fit.
The Smith Custom Shop later made a 9mm version called the Model 952.

I am going to add this in also. Smith brought out the Mod 52 to compete with Colt's 38 special midrange wadcutter. These looked like a 1911 Gold Cup but were actually a retarded blowback systm with a fixed barrel. They really never shot very well but have become quite a collector's item.
