Title: G20 gen 4 non-carry trigger options
Post by: Kenk on November 23 2018 10:01:21 AM MST
Hey Folks, any thoughts on a G20 gen 4 trigger upgrade. If I find one that's acceptable, the pistol would be for hunting, and range use only. I have looked at ZEV's options, but am struggling with their prices
Thanks

Ken

I put a Zev in my polymer 80 , the trigger that came with it was junk. I have to say it's a huge improvement. I also like it better than the factory trigger in my 29, but not enough to change it out. Just my 2 cents.

I've not found that "perfect" Glock trigger yet and I've tried a bunch. ZEV was the biggest $200+ disappointment ever on a Glock trigger. The best I have felt out of the box oddly is the CMC.

I think I'm going to bite the bullet and call Johnny Glock and have one of his fitted triggers made for me.

I recently put a Overwatch Precision in my model 40. It was ok, paired with a 3.5# disconnect though it was garbage. I played with the factory trigger, disconnect, and polishing. I found the best combo to be the factory trigger, mirror polished and the disconnect.

I put a Overwatch Precision TAC Trigger on my Glock 31 Polymer80 built (used a police turn in G22 slide) with Glock Store/Glockmeister parts that I cleaned up a bit, but were otherwise stock dimension parts supposedly. It is BY FAR the best Glock trigger combo I came up with  - and it's not just a feel thing, it REALLY helped accuracy. I believe those 3.5# disconnects to not help accuracy one bit and the Lone Wolf UAT is complete, utter junk.  It pays to know how the trigger safety (simple) really works and how the moving parts in the trigger actually work. Sometimes I think many people doing trigger mods don't understand. Worse, Glock parts sellers who either don't understand or just promise complete dreamland stuff. Again, the goal is not subjective feel, but the ability to work the trigger with out messing with precision.

Thanks Pablo, due to trading in my G20 recently, as I have other 10's, what trigger / and or other trigger parts would you recommend from your experience for my G30 / 45ACP gen 3?, this is my primary carry weapon so no trigger job would likely be the best option : )

Leave it stock if you shoot it accurately. As I basically stated  - I cannot shoot stock Glocks with very tight groups. The Polymer80 with some clean up or better trigger, same as my best pistols/revolvers.
