I just bought a Condor "Tomahawk Axe" This is a flat Tomahawk made from 1075 High Can Steel (55-56 on the Rockwell hardness scale). It has an 8" head and a 4" long "beard" cutting edge. On the other end of its head, there is a very sharp spike. The handle is wrapped in 550 Paracord.

This 'hawk is relatively light in weight and changing direction in mid-swing is easily accomplished. The 1075 steel holds a great edge but needs to be kept clean in order to avoid corrosion (rust). I like this Tomahawk and with a bit of practice, it should do a number on an intruder.
