I don't really see it being much of an advantage over my Witness Elite Match, but some guys have brand preference. Cool though.
I think there's more enthusiasm for the 10mm Auto than we sometimes realize. There can never be too many platform options. Like sqlbullet said; "...some guys have brand preference." I would say that's as much true for the ammo as it is for the platforms.
While I was at the NRA Convention in Houston last weekend, I talked with one of the CZ guys in the expo about the chances of this pistol becoming a reality.
He knew exactly what video I was talking about, but had said that this pistol was only a proof of concept, and that there were no plans to put it into production....
:(
I'm a big CZ fan, and wouldn't hesitate adding a CZ 10mm to my armory. Disappointing to hear the news from the rep.
Time to write the letters. Let them know that there would be sales if they made it happen, even if it were a limited run.

Well, isn't the Match a
SA only gun? It's primarily set up for competitive shooting events (IDPA/IPSC).
This one has the traditional CZ set-up of
DA/SA for EDC, duty use or home defense (just like the original "CZ-inspired" Bren Ten).
Same with having a fixed rear sight instead of some cheesy Euro-version of a Millet adjustable like Tanfoglio uses. 'Course, I'd prefer that CZ use, or at least offer the option of, one of the newer designs of Tritiun combat sights, like you find nowadays on upscale 1911s.
Still, on their first foray into the 10mm-world, CZ is going to want to aim for as large a user-market as possible.

Address please?
There's a serious dearth of double stack 10mm handguns on the market.

I will e-mail as well. Like to see it in a decocker model. Nickel too. ;D
It looks like it has potential. I would like to know what ammo he was using.
Edit: On second viewing, I noticed you could hear the trigger reset. This is something I have never noticed on a semi auto pistol before.
I can hear it on all mine if I focus on keeping the trigger back, wait and then deliberately release it. I notice it clearly in dry fire practice when I rack the slide with the trigger still down to re-cock. Usually I don't notice it when actually shooting, unless I really try.
Got a reply back from CZ.
My comment was that a 10mm platform in a model 97 or 97BD would make a great addition to the CZ line up for us 10mm shooters.
Response was from Zach Hein CZUSA.
I agree completely. We built a 10mm 97 to show to the factory, but with the way demand is right now, pushing them to bring out new models is very difficult.Ill keep at them and hopefully we'll be able to make it happen.
That would be awesome, but I'm not holding my breath. If they make one, I'll own one. CZ makes some of the finest pistols, carbines and rifles in the world. Mine are top notch.
Well, since CZ owns Dan Wesson, and Dan Wesson makes 10mm's this is the way I went.

Very nice. We are just looking for the SA/DA 97 platform. Again, nice pistol. Kind of has that 1006 look I might add.
Sign me up! A CZ in 10mm? Yes! Yes! Yes!
Well, I too would be interested in a CZ97 in 10mm
It would be nice if they'd offer it with different length Uppers too
I have a 10mm Withness with a Compact and a Longslide Upper, so it wouldn't be much of a jump to go CZ
If I could afford it, I'd get the DW Titan or an STI Widebody
Well, if you had LOTS and LOTS of money, Grayguns will convert a SIG to 10mm for you. It was just cheaper for me to go with a custom Made Fusion Firearms.
Sig conversion:

My Fusion Firearms custom built long slide 10mm.

Yes! Oh yes! Call me collect at 3AM. I would love to have a SIG in 10mm!
Like I said, Grayguns will do it, but it costs and you have to supply the SIG for the conversion.
Years ago I shot a friends Bren Ten a little. It reminded me of a CZ97 more than any other pistol I have owned.

Makes perfect sense
Since Dornaus and Dixon barrow their basic design from the CZ75 8)

I have the CZ97BD, night sights. It is one VERY accurate pistol and a tank.

I went to the CZ site and they don't have a 10mm there in the 97BD pistol. Is this a special order? I know this is an old thread, so hope I get and answer.
The pistol the thread is about is a one-off custom conversion. It is not a catalog item from CZ.
And, I would add, I find the Witness line superior to the 97B myself. I have shot both back to back in a range outing, and would take my Witness over the 97B any day.
I like both CZ and Tanfoglio, but CZs are just geared more toward carry and Tanfoglios are geared more toward comp/target shooters. I'd rather have the 97bd in 10mm since it would usually ride in a chest rig when I go into the woods. If I was looking for a range beast, Tanfoglio would probably win the sale.
I'm still playing with the Grand Power. It's a plastic pistol, but has ergos like the Witness and if they roll out the decocker parts it will be a great carry piece.

See my sig line.. I also pack 5 loaded mags. Have CCW-ed SAs for 30 years. I prefer the Witness for many reasons but one is the rail for my Lasermax mini
Here's my daily loadout for shopping and about errands and traveling

What holster do you use?
We could only hope for a CZ in 10mm, other than their DW line...
I emailed them requesting one... no response :(

I vary, sometimes I wear a concealed weapons vest with an old "Law" universal packed in the inner left breast pocket, (very fast!) sometimes this leather shoulder holster, sometimes the crossdraw Doc Holiday holster I made for open carry

They finally got back to me. Here is what Dereck form CZ wrote:
"Our new Dan Wesson BRUIN is a 10MM long slide hunting pistol, check it out on our website for pricing and specifications."
Thanks,
Dereck

I don't WANT to see it. If I see it, I'll want to BUY it! ???
I love the idea of CZ introducing the 10mm using th CZ 97B platform. If it has a 5 inch barrel, all the better! (Frankly, I would prefer a 5.5" barrel for this piece of ordnance). The only way that they could improve upon this initial concept is if it were carved out of a single billet of ordnance stainless steel.
Darn, this makes me yearn after just such a pistol. Let's see,... DA/SA action,12 rounds, with a 5.5" slide/barrel arrangment, stainless steel....
I would be in "10mm heaven"! 8) ;D Gotta love it!
Oh well, yet another 10mm that I want that I will not be able to afford......
