These are NEW and Just hitting the market!
These are Not the KRISS extensions, these are the SGM Tactical 30 round mags which just came out as stated by SGM they were due to hit the market place this April and they did!
Any thoughts on SGM's mag quality, Feeding, longevity, and so on?
Thanks
Ken
Well I received two of the SGM Tactical 30 round magazines from Classic Firearms... ;D
They weigh 5 ounces empty, springs are fairly stout and stuffing them takes some doing and use of a loader really helps to depress the stack to start the next cartridge.
Quality seems to be good, they are steel lining inside with 22 witness holes that are not numbered. The price point for these magazines was fair in my opinion.
Inserting them into the firearm was easy to lock securely in place and releasing them was smooth. These magazines are straight inside and should feed smoothly as such.
Fully stuffed the feed lips seem to be strong enough to hold rounds securely. I tried shaking the fully loaded magazine and no rattling of rounds was observed.
Based on what I have seen so far I'd likely purchase a few more after testing the feed and function...
The carbines that use Glock magazine will probably make good use of these 30 round mags. ;D
