Has anyone found an exceptionally accurate load using Blue Dot under a 165gr JHP? Nuclear is not my goal for this work up, just a highly accurate, mid-velocity range load. I have accomplished this with 10.4gr's BD under a 180gr XTP or HAP, but not with the 165gr JHP.
I do have Power Pistol, Longshot, and BE-86 on hand if anyone has found a highly accurate load using these powders.
Thanks
Ken
When I was loading the Remington 165 grain Golden Sabers I was loading 11.0 grains Blue Dot all hand weighed Match Grade loads...

Ken, have you ever used Powder Pass Thru website? It gives loading data from the various powder makers with the different bullet weights. Not a tremendous amount of information there but they also have what they call "optimum powder charge". It's kinda like the old Lymans Accuracy load. Most normally, the most accurate is not at the top of the book. Might take a look to see if anything they have fits your needs. I've found that their optimum loads are pretty dead on for accuracy.

Another website that gives the most accurate loads is Nosler. But they don't have many bullets weights in pistol chamberings so while it can be great info, there's not a lot there.

I don't shoot a 165 in the 10mm but I have loaded some of the 155gr Remington HPs which I'm sitting a few thousand. 11.5grs Blue Dot shoots right at an inch at 25 yds from bags. Don't know if you can extrapolate much from that but there it is anyway.
Thanks guys!!!
Hmmm I have a few hundred 155gr XTPs maybe I'll give that a try.
