Title: SKS original parts source
Post by: ballistic_ken on March 17 2013 03:09:49 PM MDT
I am trying to un-bubba an SKS and need to find an original 10rd magazine assembly.  It's a Chinese SKS.  All my searches turn up are the silly after market detatchables.

Thanks for any leads.

There are a bunch on Ebay.  Search for "sks box magazine".

Otherwise, I would start with Numrich (http://10mm-firearms.com/www.gunpartscorp.com).  If you don't find it on the site, call or email them.  I've also had some luck getting unique small parts from Brownell's.  In any case, either should be able to provide a universal part number you can use for a search.

You can also check the gun auction and enthusiast sites.  Someone whose gone detachable may be interested in selling theirs.  I have a couple, but they are all early 50's Russian.  They don't fit in any Norinco I've tried, so you may want to make sure before you buy.
