One of my favor revolvers is the Smith & Wesson N-Frame. The N frame was the champ of the heaviest, and strongest revolver frame that Smith & Wesson made until the introduction of the X fame.
My first introduction to the N-Frame was the S&W 610. I bought the 610 for one reason, it was a gun I didn't own in 10mm. After owning the 610 I became a fan of the N-Frame and bought a 625 (45 ACP), and recently bought a 629 (44 mag).
Here is a quick comparison in the advantages of the three.
• Most powerful – 629
• Most accurate – 610
• Most versatile - 625 (big surprise, the 625 can safely fire the 45 ACP, 45 ACP+P, 45 GAP, 45 Auto Rim, 45 Super)
Next on the list is the 657

I started my wheel gun adventure with the S&W Mod 29 44Mag Nickle with an 8 3/8" barrel. It is amazingly accurate for me...Best shot ever was heart, double lung shot on deer at 180 yards while standing. It also helped that I had just left from target practicing... 100 yards with that gun has been amazingly accurate for me.
