Especially a P320 X-Compact and an X5 Legion.Quote from: blaster on March 29 2020 09:18:30 PM MDTI would like one to go with my Sig P220. But I've heard rumors we will see a P320 in 10mm sooner than later.
will Smith & Wesson ever jump on the band wagon and make the M&P in 10mm? they were pioneers with the 10mm, their 1006 is still highly regarded. I have an M&P .40 S&W and it is one of the pistols that I shoot the best. I just wish it were a 10mm!
has anyone even heard of S&W making another 10mm pistol?
Quote from: BENTENMM on February 17 2020 06:25:43 PM MSTI'm left handed. No gas blowback from the HTA setup. Also, the brass deflector does an excellent job of keeping spent casings from hitting me in the face. Weight-wise it's a little over 7lbs. Not light, not heavy, but in the compact bullpup stock, it feels heavier than it is. Once it's in your shoulder, however, no issues.
I looked into the HTA Hi-Point setup but was concerned about gas blowback in a bullpup being a lefty.. Looks rad though and for $500 total can't be beat. As for mags any .45 aftermarket mag and drum can be made to work with a little feed lip tweaking.. the double stack to single stack/feed is hi-points downfall.. But then again HTA said they would address this with a proprietary magazine if they sold enough stocks.
Ronin if you don't mind me asking whats your HP/HTA setup weigh?
Quote from: Kenk on January 24 2020 06:52:36 PM MSTThe days of finding a 1006 for <$500 is long over for the most part. You might luck out and find someone who doesn't know or care what they have and price it the same as a .45 or 9mm 3rd gen S&W. The OP paying $650 was lucky. Expect to pay $800+.
I have been looking for a reasonably priced one for some time, apparently I need to up my willing to pay amount
Quote from: SHOOT1SAM on January 10 2020 09:51:48 AM MSTSpecifically the 5.25" XDm pistols. The shorter versions of the XDm do not have the cutout.Quote from: Ronin on January 10 2020 08:33:55 AM MST
All of the 5.25" XDm's have the cutout on the slide...
Thanks Ronin. So, the slide cutout is 'standard' on the XDm's? I guess I was looking at 5.25"ers that weren't XDm's (I admit that I don't know a lot about the XD pistols).

Quote from: Bruno747 on March 30 2019 10:55:55 PM MDTThere's enough of a variance between the rim thickness of .40 S&W vs 10mm rounds to create a gap that can lead to light strikes. The solution is to use a thicker moon clip with the Ruger GP100 when shooting .40 S&W. The ones from TK work as advertised, but they're expensive at $80 for 10. Ranch Products makes moon clips for the S&W 646 that will also work for all varieties of the 10mm GP100s. They only cost $9 for 10, so that's a significant savings. And they work with both .40 and 10mm.
Not quite sure how you head space a 40sw in a 10mm correctly with a moon clip. 10mm and 40 both head space on the case mouth. That would mean each round would have to have a stand with some sort of firing pin extension mechanism inside the cylinder behind the round to make up the difference between a cylinder cut for 40sw and one cut for 10mm.
Unlikely.
Quote from: jiminthe burg on January 29 2019 09:30:43 AM MSTMidway has the 646 moo clips for $8.99. I bought two sets for my 10mm GP100 and they work great with both 10mm and .40 S&W. Also, any GP100 grip will fit any GP100 regardless of caliber. I replaced the wood grip that came with my Lipsey's GP100 with the Hogue grip that comes with the .44 special GP100. Zero issues with the fit.
Got one recently. Was disappointed with the moon clips that Ruger supplied although no tools are needed ( I do not want to pay $80.00 for 10 for the same copied clips, although they are thicker.) Already one of the clips will not hold a round and you have to hold it on the clip while you place it in the cylinder. Of course none of the clips I have for my 610 can be used on the GP. Contacted Ranch clips and found they had clips that were made for the S&W 646 but would fit the GP. $12.00 for 8 pp and they fit just fine. They would not fit on the demooning tool I use for my 625 and 610 which is a breeze and removes 2 each time the handles are squeezed but I sanded the center post that the clip sits on and it works fine now.
Like it but will need to get some grips that "fill-in" the concave portion of the frame that hits between my thumb and finger and that recoil does not feel good. Will continue to shoot it by placing my "pinkie" under the handle. Got a line on some Pachmayrs as the Hogue grips for Super RH and GP will not fit this Ruger.
All in all, I like it and it seems to like pretty much any loads I used yesterday-BD, BE, AA7.
Quote from: RJM52 on June 08 2018 08:18:30 PM MDTCurious to know what you thought of the fingerless Hogue grips. I believe they're the same ones that Ruger includes with the .44 Spcl GP100. If so, they should do a nice job of taming the recoil.
Received the new Hogue rubber grips without the finger grooves today...a much better feel. Hope to get out next week and try them..
