They did... look into the FBI loads.

They moved to .40 because they got similar performance out of a shorter cartridge. Instead of a .45 sized frame/grip, the .40 shrunk it down to the 9mm frame/grip. If you aren't utilizing the rest of the capability of the 10mm, why keep the entire length?

Quote from: Intercooler on October 24 2017 02:03:19 AM MDTIt seems Yankee spewed the dope on how 8888's vidoes get done, amount of money and ethics of them. It was $4,000 a video to whatever MFG wanted one done :)

They did that Taurus review, and just saw a bunch of "$4,000" comments. [emoji23]

Funny thing to have it come up with iraqveteran8888, as you'd think some other channels would be discussed before, but I actually agree with YankeeMarshal. The response video that Eric and Chad put out really didn't answer what the original statement was. I asked it in their comments, never was touched on... if you are saying something was taken out of context, put it in context for us. Very simple idea. Personally, I don't think there is a way that statement can come out as positive for the 2nd Amendment, from two guys that are "No Compromise" and allude to "Not One Inch."

The money thing actually has been alluded to for years by nutnfancy, so it doesn't shock me. Seeing the price and stipulations that iraqveteran8888 was setting did shock me (and that was when he was smaller, and a few years old, so I'm sure they are higher now). Personally, it made them come off so greedy... and that is from someone who has purchased ManCans from them because they used to act like they barely can make ends meet, that I unsubscribed. YankeeMarshal... I'm still subscribed to, as I do like different thought processes, as well as revolvers. But one thing to point out, YankeeMarshal isn't telling people to not give iraqveteran8888 the time of day. In some of his videos, he even stated to support them via Patreon if you want to. He is just calling out their stance on the stupid chat that Tim from MAC was the main defense of the 2nd Amendment.

That chat really showed how many people are getting paid from the NRA. You saw MAC supporting the NRA prior to that statement regarding the bump stocks... but in videos after, he doesn't tell people to join anymore. I respect that, and even though I'm a life member, I won't give them another dollar until Wayne LaPierre and Chris Cox are out (disgusting, but will never happen). For Eric to call YankeeMarshal as the one dividing the gun community (in reality, YouTube isn't the gun community)... why not point the finger at the NRA for tossing our rights to the people against the 2nd Amendment? And for his calls for unity within his respond video, I really doubt his stance is one that I'd want to support.

Subscribers/supporters of iraqveteran8888 can say what they want, but I was one of them prior to all this. What has been shown thus far really had me clean up my subscription list on YouTube. I haven't watched many of Eric's videos lately, but refuse to until there is some statement that explains the chat issue (something that likely will not happen).

The Shadow mentioned price of magazines being high. Check out this price: http://smith-wessonforum.com/redirect-to/?redirect=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gunbroker.com%2Fitem%2F575067714

Similar price to what I paid for my 15 round 10mm magazine...

General Discussion / This 1006 magazine!!
February 15 2016 05:49:57 PM MST
Got it in on Saturday (after that post), but couldn't really mess with it until tonight.

If anyone has any questions or wants to see something specific, just ask. I do have capabilities to get exact measurements, if needed (if this leads to a production of copies, I would definitely help... but have points that I'd want respected; namely done so there isn't a surge of "rare FBI magazines" flooding the market).

It feels just like a regular 9 rounder in regards to fit/function. Nothing jumps out at me with taking it apart, other than the yellow follower and longer spring. I upgraded all my magazines to the white follower, and might pick one up for this, but it looks to be good to go. There was a small amount of rust on the floorplate/lower part of the spring, but a little oil and rubbing got it looking ok.

There is an detent slightly higher than where the base would be on the standard magazines, to allow for the  bevel on the magazine well. The detent is angled to lock it up... as it does not rock at all when inserted (loaded or empty).

No part numbers at all, with the exception of the ES on the front. But that is present in earlier standard magazines (I have some, but the ES1 was in the gun), as well. The ES1 marking is about when they started marking them "Accu-Guide," but I didn't check all of my ES1s to see if some were not marked.

I'm very happy I got the magazine, as it isn't something very common to come up for sale. I don't know how many are in civilian ownership, but I might have seen two or three posted online before. Having it really makes me proud of my collection, as I didn't get a .40 conversion barrel (which I really wanted to mess around with). I like having unique stuff, and that definitely takes the cake.

.32 is an ok cartridge... I don't have one because my agency only allows us to carry .380s and above. I love my LCP's size... but HATE feeding it (I now carry a SIG P938 for that reason; also have a S&W 642-1 that I picked up a 9mm conversion cylinder, because my issued sidearm is 9mm).

Similarly, I do like .25 over .22 in a small gun (don't have one, but my father does; Beretta 21A). Centerfire is way more superior to me than rimfire, no matter how good the quality is of the .22.

Quote from: Aegis on February 07 2016 07:58:33 PM MSTNow all you need is a 1046...

Shy under $450 for a magazine... I'm done with 10mm stuff.

Not going to be something many people are going to say they have, so it is worth it to me. I'll post some pictures when it arrives.

You can find magazines on auction sights and classified sections on different forums, but be ready to pay upwards of $100 for one. They aren't made anymore, so supply/demand really took over.

I got into one in either 2010 or 2011, and even then, I was lucky finding magazines in the $40-$50 range. I think I have 10 or 12, but won't sell them since it is a gun I love to shoot.

10mm semi-auto handguns / .4506 mag in 1006?
October 15 2015 08:57:12 PM MDT
If I remember correctly, the .45 magazines won't fit in a 10mm magazine well.

Think there was a thread on 10mm Talk (AR15 Armory) about it... but not as sure on being in that forum than it not fitting.

Quote from: Patriot on November 23 2014 07:20:13 AM MSTThis should now be fixed. I'm posting this from Tapatalk.

Thanks. Posting from it.

Tapatalk has been pretty good with my switch to the iPhone 6 Plus (same as my upgrade to iOS 8.1). Makes posting at various forums A LOT easier.

Patriot, thanks.

Just to give you a heads up, but now it isn't working at all. When I log in Tapatalk, it says no unread posts. Thought it was weird that it happened twice, so I tried bringing up the forum list and then participated threads, and the loading circle just spins.

Sorry about bringing it up. Seems I made it worse.
