10mm semi-auto handguns / Re: KKM vs LWD

I have a selection of all three-KKM, Storm Lake, and Lone Wolf.  I do not have any problems with any of them.  All work and amazingly enough so do the Glock barrels.  These go in length from 10" and 10mm to the short conversion barrels 40 to 9mm in the 27 and so on---no esoteric ammo but some hot factory stuff.   Glocks are so much fun!!

:P  the true genius of the Glock is that it is cheap AND it works out of the box.

Plus you can modify it cheaply and it still works great. I love my Colts.  I refuse to buy cheap junk guns.

To each his own.  enjoy!

10mm semi-auto handguns / Re: Colt Delta
December 22 2014 11:17:21 AM MST
My Colt Delta is NIB early this year. Paid about $900 for it. It seems to like to spit cases straight back in my face on certain types of ammo. (no reloads yet). These are the aluminum case rounds. Blazer 200gr , TMJ. Other stuff doesn't do this.
the Colt is absolutely stock.  These newer Colts are supposed to be somewhat improved over the older ones. I see where  Taffin is blazing away with some pretty hot ammo and no reported problems.

I know , the answer is don't shoot the Blazer , or if you do  wear a full coverage motorcycle helmet.
My other 10mm pistols,  a Kimber 1911, does not do this ,nor my Glocks.  My S&W revolvers don't do it either.(HA! joke)
I guess it is OK but I have  a lot of this ammo -so there you go. Any ideas??

10mm revolvers / Re: S&W 310 Night Guard

I have one -was at a real good price for a new one ,and after shooting it , I would recommend it for a house or truck gun. It shoots most of my store bought loads very nicely-also shoots 40 cal very well. Not the best concealed piece as it is a bit large , but could come in handy as back up gun for hunting and woods walking.   I like it and it goes with my  610 Smith revolver which is a very accurate hunter!

Well, maybe not so much-red is not as bright outside in the day time -and does not show up as well at night at distance either. the Green Monster is good, BUT, they are temperature sensitive like below 32F or above 104F they delay coming on if it matters to you.
I have both and prefer the Green since I live in the South and it ain't so cold here nor does it get really hot except in direct sunlight for most of the summer.
I really prefer the Green -battery life is supposed to be shorter but I have not really noticed this. Some red lasers have short battery
life !

The green is bright enough to almost light up your target in a real dark scenario(without the white light weapon light). Good stuff. Streamlight makes a beauty that I really like with the combo- I think it is a TL-2 G.
Just get the one you like ,but get a Good one--it is worth it. Crimson Trace are excellent also. This I know.

the 10mm assassin is in the new BOOK, not the movie-she did not kill Jason (imagine that!)

I doubt  she was using those 1500fps loads in her guns.

Not only that but SHE uses an EAA 10mm and  a Glock 20 to try to do our hero in forever......new book "The Bourne Imperative" by Lustbader. Pretty good spy novel.
Fun gun stuff-female killer and sex partner of Jason chases him all over Europe.  I like it!

10mm revolvers / Re: Model 610 Classic

My 610 is the most accurate 10mm gun I own of 6: Kimber, Colt, 2 Glocks and the Niteguard S&W in 10mm. The Niteguard is really a slick piece-shoots 40 cal also (as does the 610)-great gun for fun and can be carried -sort of a large carry gun , but it does work for that  in the right holster.   I like them all, but my handgun hunter is my 610.

Nice evaluation of the 10mm Colt auto by Jeff Quinn-lots of ammo chrono'd  with video of nice blasts-he liked the gun and had NO problems with it -I like mine too.
