All I can say is just wow. Say what you want but hi-point makes tough guns. I watched a video where two guys tried to blow up a high point and drove a bolt in the barrel and it still would not blow up.

It?s been nice here highs in the 30s lows in the teens about 10* above average. I would be happy to take you extra ammo to the range and warm it up for you. 😁

That?s unfortunate I have not experienced that with gun scrub. Hopefully I won?t have to. I have used brake cleaner as well but prefer not to as it seems to leave a film.

I have been spraying a little gun scrub then use a brush where I can. Then blow out with compressed air then repeat with CLP then blow that out as well. Working so far.

In the early 90s I rebuilt the kiln they use for heat treating the dies. Got a free set of 38/40 dies because the first run there is some contamination from the ceramic tiles we installed causes them to discolor. We knew this would happen so they asked if we wanted any made   So I have a set that are a medium grey color. Work just fine though.

I had the same problem until I got a steel reinforced gun belt. I have a nextbelt brand. I thought it would be uncomfortable as stiff as it feels but after the first day its just as comfortable as a heavy leather belt and it doesn?t sag with a XDM 4.5?. Also the 1/4? adjustment system allows perfect tightness.

My dad shot many feral hogs up to 350 lbs with a 38/40 wheel weight cast Keith type bullets and most shots just behind the shoulder would go completely through and leave a nice blood trail. His load data was from the Lyman book high velocity load data. Don?t recommend it he was shooting it in a Colt new service.

I wouldn?t wish that on anyone LEO or otherwise. I have been a firefighter first responder for over 35 years and taking a life would not be easy. The flip side is I have been protecting people from danger most of my life. My plan is to protect and evacuate as many as I could from the hot zone would I in gage to accomplish that yes I would but I would not be hunting a shooter simply because I?m not trained for that. I hope that is the goal of all firearm carriers.

So was shopping with the wife and this (I?ll call her lady) is talking about the shooting in Texas and ranting on the phone about gun control. Anyway lm putting stuff in the cart when she steps next to me. to reach something on the shelf within 2 feet of me on my carry side. I thought wow if she knew how close she was to a loaded firearm she would probably have wet her pants. 🤣. Made me wonder how often something like this happens.

With the exception of shot guns I clean after every shoot. I shoot a lot of clay target sports with an over under if I shoot more than a hundred rounds it gets a brush through the bbl and wiped down with a lightly oiled rag at about 1000 rounds I will clean the lock works as they don?t get very dirty. My pump gets cleaned after 200 rounds.
