The nitro double stack is a wicked good gun, mine will never leave my ownership.  They are indeed limited edition guns.  They were built for the 2016 SHOT show and available only to STI flagship dealers from my understanding.

I'm sure this has been hashed out numerous times but I haven't found the answer so I'm asking again.

I got invited to join a few buddies who drew spring bear tags here in WA. I am not hunting, just going to spot for them and help pack meat. I had planned to take my .44 mag along but don't own a good holster for it and the thought of packing a 7 1/2" Ruger Redhawk many miles with a backpack on doesn't sound appealing. I've decided I'm going to pack either my EAA Hunter or my STI Nitro 10 Tactical 2011 as I have quality chest rigs for both of them.

My problem is that in terms of hunting rounds I have only ever shot the 180 gr Federal Premium bonded jhp's.  In my .44's I have always used a 300 gr wfn and I'm leaning towards hardcast wfn's in either of my 10's as my only use will be to end a possible rodeo with a wounded bear in the brush and I think I want the penetration of the wfn for that.

The hunt is coming up in 3 weeks and due to work scheduling I don't have time to work up a good load before I leave. So what factory loads would you guys recommend for my uses?

I plan to order probably 2 boxes each of 2-3 differnt rounds, decide what the gun likes best and order in another 100 rds for this hunt and to have on hand.
