NP3 is very different than your average cerakote or duracoat. Please go check out Robar's site and read up on the NP3. When considering protection, durability, and built in lubrication, NP3 is probably one of, if not the best treatment you can add to a steel gun. It will not affect the gun's cycling or performance at all. The process in which NP3 is applied is on a microscopic level, hence no need to worry about it affecting the action of the handgun. Anyone who has an NP3'ed gun or has had one knows exactly what I am talking about.
