10mm Hunting / Re: 10mm carbine hunting
June 28 2022 09:01:22 AM MDT
My Sig Juliet 4 is coming today or tomorrow, and it'll be w/ a red dot I've already got on and thus, ready to hunt. How far out can I expect to hit a deer or boar with my CMMG Banshee MK10 10mm and those optics?

Yeah, I know what it looks like.

24 inches.

A violin or ukulele case would work.

Here's the one that I use, although mine is tan and not gray.

I don't know how long the banshee is altogether.

I may could help answer your question if I knew the length you needed.

Also, you want to seperate the halves or leave it together ready to go?

I want it ready to go. The overall length is 23.8 inches, and weights 5.5 pounds. Here's the gun: https://cmmg.com/pistol-banshee-mk10-10mm-8

10mm Hunting / Re: 10mm Ammo For Deer Hunting

so once my 10mm rifle comes, I plan on going hunting. I've never been hunting before - I'm a northron by birth. How do people usually go about getting their kill made into a wall trophy - from moment of confirming their shot to it getting on the wall?

As of recently, what kind of lead times from placing an order on CMMG's website to being able to pick it up at an FFL is one looking at for a Banshee 10mm 8 inch?

10mm semi-auto handguns / Re: Glock 20 vs M&P M2.0 10mm

Update: I got my 4.6" M&P 10mm, and it blows the pants off the Glock 20, at least for me. Its recoil is no greater yet it's way easier for me to shoot 50 rounds, shoot 50 of 9mm, and then 50 of 10mm from my MP10 again (100 10mm total). The high sights are much better than the nubs the G20 gives, grip doesn't drive a weird feeling into my wrist like my G20 did, all around massive improvement!

what kind of recoil is a 4 inch giving you on it? I'm getting my 4.6 later this week

I'm having the same train of thought as you.

If I ever find the M&P 10 in the wild I'll but it.

If you consider Gunbroker the wild, then it's there, but be prepared to pay a > $200 premium.

10mm semi-auto handguns / Glock 20 vs M&P M2.0 10mm
December 14 2021 06:35:22 PM MST
The two most accessible 10mms:

I currently have a Glock 20 and just paid up the arse to finally get a Smith/Wesson 10mm, as in the new one that just came out! I like my M&P M2.0 9mm's grip wayy better than the Glock 20, as I am very short and have small hands that don't fit nicely in the Glock's grip.

I am thinking of selling my G20, once I've tried my M&P, at the earliest. Can anyone who has shot both of these guns compare them in terms of performance, utility, etc?

I'm a gamer, and Yakuza/Judgment is one of my favorite series. In this series, I've noticed that virtually all the guns (which are usually semi-auto pistols) in cutscenes and as equipment have barrels that protrude out the muzzle, whether the barrel of the gun depicted is threaded or not. Anyone know why? Is this commonplace in Japan/Asia?
