General Discussion / Re: Carpal tunnel

I'm not yet 40... And the new career I started over a year ago seems to have brought this about - aging isn't for the faint of heart.

General Discussion / Carpal tunnel
May 19 2023 07:45:54 AM MDT
Over the last year and a half I've developed carpal tunnel syndrome in my dominant hand/wrist. Now shooting heavier recovery long pistols is less enjoyable. Hand fatigue and loss of feeling set in after a shooting session. Just looking to vent. Hope not many of you have to deal with this.

Phew! Lost my account information for a while. I found the 10mm I wanted and it happened to have a rail. Didn't need it; don't plan to hang anything on it.

I ended up getting a Crossbreed Reckoning from their "seconds" site. Serves the purpose; high quality and has held up well.

That youtube video already has 40k+ views. Good luck finding one of these pistols on the first or second run.
Given some of the past issues with the M&P line I wouldn?t want the first ones out of the gate.

Yup - Makes sense to let others be the beta testers. The design and implementation look promising and hopefully won't require any tweaking since its based on an already-refined platform.

Same here.  Let it percolate, wait for any recalls to happen, get in on the 3rd or 4th wave.

Maybe even find one second hand when people realize that its expensive to shoot factory ammo.

I have built 2 of them.  Shoot them all the time.  I love them.  I put them together for about $700-800 all in each.  Got threaded alpha wolf barrels and put a swampfox rmr on one.  I shoot it supressed most of the time but have put heavy loads through it also.  I went with a 22lbs spring.  Only issue i ran into was a 2-3 round burst issue but a new connector fixed that.  The round count is somewhere around 3000-4000 right now. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the info. Did you make your own holsters or find a factory option? Hoe does it sound suppressed?

I've only seen the 9mm Ronin in person (2 times since release). I stopped looking for a 10mm Ronin when I stumbled upon a LNIB RO Operator.

Hopefully this will become the most common polymer 10mm and unseat Glock. Ergos will be so much better. Can't wait till all the bugs are worked out and prices are more sane.

Did the PF45 frames stink so bad that none of you bought into them?

or

Did you buy them and never complete them?

Optics ready makes this a potential Glock 29 killer.

For sure! I would carry this, especially if I could throw a 15-round mag in my pocket.

I wonder if the 15 round mags will fit with a sleeve.

I like the cut of your jib. This had not occurred to me.  :)

I was hoping for a full-size OPS Elite.... with the threaded barrel and additional grip zone (magwell).

10mm semi-auto handguns / New XD-m Elite 10mm (3.8" barrel)

So this is new:

https://www.springfield-armory.com/xd-series-handguns/xd-m-elite-handguns/xd-m-elite-38-compact-osp-10mm-handgun/

They also have one with a red dot. Wonder why they didn't go full-size with this? Could have had real-decent capacity. I wonder... they'll probably release a larger one once we buy-up their stock of these 3.8" versions.

Anyone have experience with Polymer80 large frame kits? I'd love to hear what your experiences are. I have an extra 6" stainless Lone Wolf barrel from a G40 MOS I sold and and am deciding whether or not to hold onto it to use later on or to sell it.
