Nice to see familiar names, and I hope all is fine with ya-all.

Cool that the interface remains familiar.

Thanks for bringing it back to life again.

I'd guess some sort of fire before explosion.  Heat gets to the flash point of the primer mixture and the reaction just happens.

Look up a DARPA project called Lifelog.

They (congress) shut it down at the same exact time Facebook came into existence with several of the key players from the DARPA project.

Smell a rat yet?

Marbury v Madison
?The powers of the legislature are defined and limited; and that those limits may not be mistaken or forgotten, the constitution is written,?

?the Constitution of the United States confirms and strengthens the principle, supposed to be essential to all written constitutions, that a law repugnant to the constitution is void, and that courts, as well as other departments, are bound by that instrument.?

Its still the law of the land.  They can do what they wish if you don't know how to stand.  This is a common law land, but you have to play in that court.  Play in an administrative court and you have lost already.

Amendment VII "In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law."

Sorry to hear this! The Witness line has proven to handle hot 10's just fine.

I had (still have) a box of hot Underwood 150g that smiled the cases in the Glock 20.

They loosened some primer pockets in the Limited Pro Witness.

Loose primer pockets wins in my estimation, but too hot is too hot.

Not saying I would wish that on anyone.  I'll run if I got the chance if a bad guy confronted me.

If kids were getting mowed down, I would hope I'd look at taking the "eliminate the threat" option, hope that I had the nerve.  Facing a rifle with a hand gun is a fools game, but one old guy (me) traded for a number of youngsters seems like a winner overall.

Just wish you, or someone like you would have had an opportunity to take the looser out before the deaths piled up.

Gun free zones just don't work.

$1.829 is what I paid for gas on Election Day 2020.  Except for the covid BS, I cannot think of a single thing better today than back then.

I just wish I knew who is calling the shots, cause Biden isn't the point man.

2000 Mules.  Who pulled that off is calling the shots.

Reloading / Re: Mini Kaboom
April 16 2022 06:48:49 PM MDT
I've been there.  G20 blew the mag out the bottom, stung my hand like a ball bat, cracked up the frame, and left soot marks on my hand EVERYWHERE there was a tiny gap (mag release, trigger safety, act).

My kaboom was with hefty load of PP and 135g bullets.  That wasn't the main problem, but it did lower the safety margin.  The issue was Privi (PPU Headstamp) cases that was too springy and wouldn't hold the resize and the low tension of the bullet that resulted.

I didn't blow a barrel, just a case failure.  Totaled the frame though.  Hope I never see anything as extreme as you experienced.  Why a "mini" kaboom.  Seems full fledged kaboom to me.  Glad you turned out ok at the end.

Reloading / Re: Electronic Powder Measure

It depends on the powder.  800x (fantastic 10mm powder) has really large flakes and it regularly over-charges on the RCBS, so caution is needed when playing near maximum charges.  I love the measure.  It's just mechanical things have limitations.

Looks like the FTC initial findings were that this would be block due to a monopoly lock on the market. I think a good thing.

In other words, there was not a large enough payoff.

Gear/Equipment / Re: Electronic hearing protection

I have a set of Howard Leight Impact Sport Electronic Muffs.

They work.  I don't use them all the time because what you do hear can get annoying.  The grass crunching under your feet, the trigger components moving against themselves when cocking the hammer, almost jumping when a distant song bird calls.

they are adjustable but normal hearing doesn't seem to be one of the settings.

Factory Ammo / Re: Wow

Using second, third and 4th hand loads is questionable.  This could have been avoided.

That said, I. blew up a Glock when I thought I had the bases covered.  I was half a gram under what I worked up to and there weren't any pressure issues at the hotter level.

The thing I screwed up on was PPU brass that didn't retain the sizing.  It instead sprang back and didn't hold the bullet tight.  I'd guess the slide stripping the round and chambering it set the bullet back and that is all it took.  It turned a lively round into a kaboom.

I suppose comparing 10mm to a 50 BMG is like comparing a black cat firecracker to a stick of dynamite.  I compare the way my hand felt to getting stung by a old wood bat.  He damn near got killed with lifelong consequences.

Forster bench top priming tool.

I get along fine with it once you used to setting it up.  Actually like it quite a bit.
