For sale / WTT: S&W 1026 *Please Lock*
December 26 2014 10:08:10 AM MST
This one is gone folks, Thanks to all who replied. Please Lock

Looking to trade my S&W 1026 for a S&W 625-10 or 625-11.

I will trade an excellent condition S&W 1026 (civilian model no LE markings) it comes with one mag, no box or papers. Can add cash for the right deal.

The information I found on the net says this S&W was only made from 1990-1991 and there were only 3,135 of them produced so this will be a fine addition to your 10mm collection. This is Smith's full size version of the 1076 with a 5" barrel and frame mounted decocker.

The Only Trade I'm interested in is a 625-10 or 625-11

wyguy welcome to the forum.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the S&W 10s everything I've read has been positive.

I carry a Rohrbaugh in 9mm it is the smallest lightest 9mm, I also have a PM9 which is also very concealable.

Thankfully, the NY State magazine capacity ban has been voted down:

http://legalinsurrection.com/2013/12/federal-court-voids-7-round-mag-limit-of-nys-safe-act-allows-rest/

Hypothetically speaking, if this ban were still in effect; which handgun / caliber combination would you choose to carry in or through NY State?

For me, I think I would go with the Springfield XDs in .45 ACP. I could conceal this combination without a problem, and could use the 7 round magazine option for spare mags.

One of my Colt Combat Commanders in .45 ACP might be an option as well, though they would not be as easy to conceal as the XDs. Why not 10mm? I think a Springfield XDs in 10mm would be too much of a handful (not that they make one). A Commander in 10mm might be a nice option. It would be a shame though to limit one of these to 7 round capacity.

What do you think?

Being that I no longer live in NY (thank God) I wouldn't try and carry anything into or through it because NY does not have a Reciprocity Agreement with any other state. If I was still there I would get an 357 mag eight shot S&W 627.

Congrats on the 4006.
I have a CS40 that I had the barrel reamed to 10mm and reworked the mag to accept the longer rounds. I have put a couple hundred rounds through it, mostly reloads from 3 Gun but also some 165gr & 200gr Underwood, it shoots great.
I think I saw a post somewhere about a 4006 that was converted to 10mm. (I just found the post and it was a S&W 4013 not a 4006 that was converted to 10mm)

Looks very nice but you probably won't be shooting in the back yard. :))
If your wife uses Clorox when doing the wash keep it at a minimum because it will kill the bacteria that the septic tank needs to work properly.

Hope it works out for you.
