Thoughts on getting a 400 lb safe down the basement stairs?

Be the guy on top guiding  .  Last one we did we set 2x12's on the stairs and slid it down.  Used a chain hoist connected to a couple of 2 x 6's across the door facing to control the slide.  They definitely go down better than coming up.  Good luck.

I'll take it for that amount. My daughter's husband to be and I tried it Sunday evening with these shoulder dolly things and it was like, no way, pay someone. He's strong as an ox, but I'm 61 with a crap back...This is a way better situation, pay the $225.00 and be done with it . And yes, they come tomorrow afternoon to put in place 😀😀😀
