Thoughts on getting a 400 lb safe down the basement stairs?
Thanks

Be the guy on top guiding  :D.  Last one we did we set 2x12's on the stairs and slid it down.  Used a chain hoist connected to a couple of 2 x 6's across the door facing to control the slide.  They definitely go down better than coming up.  Good luck.

Hire a professional.  It is way cheaper than medical bills.

Will keep calling around, but your right. The only place I've called so far wants $550.00, that's just crazy

Kenk

Just found a professional mover that will do it for $225.00...Sold 😀

Absolutely, 5 or 800 is just a crazy rip, plus I won't have to wreck my back further 😀

$225 is probably about right, maybe on the high side just a bit.

I'll take it for that amount. My daughter's husband to be and I tried it Sunday evening with these shoulder dolly things and it was like, no way, pay someone. He's strong as an ox, but I'm 61 with a crap back...This is a way better situation, pay the $225.00 and be done with it . And yes, they come tomorrow afternoon to put in place 😀😀😀

15 minutes and it's done, these guy's were amazing 😀😀😀
