Wow PSA finally shipped should have all parts and 500 Starline brass even though they said back ordered

Shooting new gun will have to wait, 8" snow on ground makes it kinda hard to find brass

I put the slide in a vise and then I can "easily" compress the spring to install the bent paper clip.  To remove the recoil spring from the guide rod, I put the reverse plug in the vise with the back of the guide rod sticking up.  Then I can easily depress the spring pushing down, remove the paper clip and let the guide rod out decompressing the spring without danger of it getting away.  Reverse procedures to reassemble.
