Manufacturer?  Nickel plated?  I am new to this reloading thing all together.  Using the ammo for the range

I have a Forster press, RCBS hand primer, Dillion 10mm dies, Lyman and Speer reloading manuals.

I still need a digital scale and caliper, media tumbler and sorter, case trimmer and chamfering tools

Do you plan on getting them back?  If not, don't worry about the brand.  Get cheap, and load modestly.  The paper won't know/care how hot they are.  If you're after the big bang, well..... It's like fast cars.  If you want to go fast, don't bitch at the pump.

If you police your brass and reload them, then stay with popular name brands.  I like R-P, Starline and DT, in that order, nickel.  I didn't know I liked DT (Double Tap) until Midway was OOS with Starline, and Starline was backordered.  Good stuff, like Starline if not the same.  More expensive than some others, but all my target brass shot at the range drop on my range (I get them all back, except for 10mm, which I have to beg my neighbor for, 1/4 mile away...).  R-P is expensive, but worth it, if you can find it.  I prefer it for nukes, but will settle for Starline or DT if necessary.  I never "nuke" a round, unless it's with once-fired brass, with a moderate load (hard learned lesson).

One way to obtain brass is to buy ammo and shoot it for the brass, that way you know what you have.  Buying used can be a mystery not knowing if it is one fired or worn out reloaded stuff...also some range brass is run thru roll sizers and it can hide a "Smiled" brass case.

If you want new brass, Star Line is a good choice if you buy a 1000 pcs with free shipping.  It has been getting hard to find "NEW" 10mm brass from other manufactures.

About your scale, be aware digital scales can drift and require re-zeroing often.  I love my RCBS 5-10 balance beam scale for powder weighting, it has been very accurate for over 30 + years.  I bought a Frankford Arsenal digital as a back up and it works great for finding unknown weights fast.  I will agree with my RCBS 5-10 till it drifts.

+1 for starline if you just want brass. I always thought I might as well shoot a bunch, while I'm collecting brass, so I buy new loaded ammo.

Another +1 for Starline brass.  Plus you can buy it factory direct from Starline for a very reasonable price.  I'm not a handloading pro yet, but I've yet to hear anyone bad mouth Starline brass.  Winchester 10mm brass simply tends to be so much more expensive, and I haven't seen reason to believe it is any better than Starline, even if just as good.
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Starline.  Hands down.  If you want new brass that is the way.

When I started, I bought 1000 rounds from Georgia Arms.  Today I would probably look at Armscor or some of the other budget ammo Intercooler posts about.  You can't buy brass, primer, powder and jacketed bullets as cheap as that stuff comes already put together.

But, I cast my own bullets now.  So I am way, way cheaper even when I have to stock up on brass. I always buys from starline direct too.

Don't bother with nickel, IMHO.
