Actual Instrumental Velocity: 1165 fps



Shot from a stock Glock 20-SF at 25 yards. Target 5½"

Data taken with an Oehler Model 33. Skyscreens centered 10' from muzzle.

Head expansion;  .4342", .4333", .4334", .4341, .4338"

Velocity is about what one would expect from 8.5grs of propellant.

WHY DO THEY CALL IT COMMON SENSE WHEN IT IS SO UNCOMMON?

Wow Dub01, that is a different loading than the previous 180 gr V-Crown pull-down.
This one appears to be AutoComp.
Hodgdon shows the 180 JHC with 7.7 as 1199 fps 36,000 psi.

I have read that people are having some pressure signs in the newer loads...did you see any pressure signs?

I included the head expansion measurements..  They were right up there, to where I would stop if I were working up loads.

Yep, 0.4340" is a full expansion in my G-20SF and G29 factory barrels...I'll have to test some AutoComp loads to see how they compare.

Saturday's Vcrown testing:

G20 LW 5.15" .4291 1,258 fps 56 degrees
G20 stock 4.6" bl .4337 1,192 fps 76 degrees

I've got Autocomp, maybe I'll ladder up to the V-Crown factory load.
