Hello all Just got done loading 180g Montana Gold JHP with 8.3g Power Pistol.  Alliant has 180g fmj at 9.3  but no listing for jhp Ha, I use 6.3 for 9mm so I thought I could make it easy for me to remember. Amy thoughts on how this load will shoot?? Just curious.    Craig

That's a modest, low pressure load. Expect about 1100-1150 FPS from less than 5" barrel.

Thanks all, it's what I needed to know and really what I thought as I just wasn't looking for max but wanted something a little stronger than what I had been shooting.  I will of coarse report back as I may shoot tomorrow.  Craig.

Ok just got back from the range and here we go.  The 8.3 shot great with a noticable sharp crisp and stranger than average for me feel. Very nice though I will do a lot more with this round. My other rounds were noticeable musher in feel. Shot a bunch of 9mm and they were not close to the 10mm of course but I can shoot them all say where as the 10mm just a little. ha ha!!  :D Craig

Shot more 10mm today trying to use up old rounds but they all shot great, no complaints at all. Craig

Well minor brain damage led to me "hiding" 400 rounds  in a closet that I just found and they turned out to be 10mm and 357 mag. What's really weird is the 10mm is 8.2 grains like the 8.3 I just loaded. Also I have 200 rounds with 2400 powder I don't remember anything about. Labeling says I loaded these in 2010 a full two years before my accident. Just moving them around I guess and not having proper storage. I was wondering where all my brass got to and now I know. :o
