and saw a man with his ear to the sidewalk. Thomas asked, "What are you doing down there?" The man said, "Come and listen." Uncle Thomas got down nest to the man and out his ear on the sidewalk. After a couple of minutes, Thomas said, "I don't hear a thing." The man replied, "I know. It has been like that all day.".
