Would anyone here like to see another 7" "longslide" 1911-A1?

Granted, my IAI Javalina isn't the highest quality pistol on the planet, but I can't understand why anyone hasn't ventured into the 7" barreled, 1911, 10mm Auto pistol market. I can understand that people may view them as "cumbersome" (but then a 8 3/8 Smith & Wesson Model 29 isn't a "pocket revolver").

IMHO, there's a market for the handgun. The "original" appeared in 1991 and I sure that a modern permutation of the pistol would be a hit today providing it had:

a) a fully supported case head (a "ramped" barrel).

b) a "match" barrel and,

c) such a 1911 must be fabricated of stainless steel (an excellent attribute for field use).

Any other takers?

Yes!  Count me in!  My hand is raised! 

That's another feature I like about the DW Bruin. It's barrel is almost 6.5 inches!

I would be up for one.  I still regret selling my Hardballer longslide many years ago, even though it was a POS.

I also had a 10" LAR Grizzly for awhile (9" slide) and it was so friggin unwieldy I sold it off.  A 7" slide is perfect.

Not sure I would spring for one.  At that point I would probably go for an AR pistol in a holster.

Hello and Welcome to the forum Tony, It's been awhile since we communicated.  Glad to have you on board here. 
My nephew got one of your 458 SOCOM AR's, and he has me busy teaching him how to load for that monster.

The best one I could think of would be Robert Serva of Fusion Arms to build such a piece.  He has made some very nice pistols with great workmanship & craftsmanship.
