Another 'Which is Better' Thread?

So, I'm contemplating another 10mm. I really like the Sig P220 and have been leaning towards it for quite some time. Now however, I've reconsidered another 1911 because of it's accuracy, grip and trigger. I do not want a drop in accuracy going with the Sig, but know nothing about it's accuracy compared to a 1911. Will the difference be the same, negligible or significant?  The other 1911's I'm considering are RIA, Kimber, Para...
If I had my way, I'd go for the 6 inch Dan Wesson Bruin... but it's out of my reach.
What say you?  It'll be a range / hunting / trail gun...

I would go for the Sig.  Accuracy will be fine in that gun.

That said, fltbed had excellent accuracy from his RIA.  Bullseye type accuracy.

I have both the Kimber Eclipse II and Sig P220 in 10mm.
I had the Kimber first for about 1 year and then was lucky enough to find the Sig in a LGS one day.
I liked my Kimber and I shot it well (still do), I shoot my Sig better though. 

Without breaking out a Ransom rest there is no way to tell for sure which is better - although I would say they are both excellent choices.
I own several Sigs so I had very little if any adjustment to make for the 10mm version.
The one I picked up was the DA/SA one, as that is what I was already used to with my old P220 and P226.
It definitely feels more solid in the hand than the Kimber does.
I take both to the range with the same ammo and with the Sig(stock) I don't feel the recoil as much as with the Kimber (20# recoil spring as opposed to the stock 18#) - I've not played around with hammer springs and flat bottom FPS yet.

Knowing what I know today and my experience with both, I would opt for the Sig.  Just me.

No experience with the RIA so I can't speak on that.

A lot of it is going to come down to how the pistol feels in the hand.

I don't have a Sig 220, but i wouldn't object to owning one! These pistols should be what people really want in a single stack self-loading pistol. It's the only real "replacement" for the S&W 1006 extant. I personally like the SA/DA option. It makes for a positive defense in a self-defense scenario. For hunting purposes I already have the IAI Javalina. It works.

But, that's just me.
