After watching numerous videos on Winchester's Ranger T - 147gr, and the  PDX1 - 147gr 9mm, I have come to the conclusion that the bullet design is quite different upon expansion. Unless it's just me, the T series is  a way nastier bullet, and is totally reminiscent of of the 90's talon...Thoughts

The Ranger T (Talon) is a direct descendent (improved) of the famous Black Talon less the scary black Lubalux coating.  The Ranger T nor Black Talon is bonded.  They are both reverse taper jacket HP.  They both feature the sharp talons.

PDX1 & Ranger Bonded & Winchester Defender lines are essentially the same bonded projectile.  They still have remnants of the sharp talons from the opening jacket but nothing as pronounced as Ranger T or Black Talon.

The media uproar against Black Talon back in the 1990's was an early example of Fake News.  They trotted out "experts" that claimed the Lubalux oxidizer coating which happens to be black was a type of Teflon.  Intentionally used to make the bullets penetrate ballistic vests.  Thus the media manufactured out of thin air the false narrative that the Black Talon was a purpose made diabolical "cop killer" bullet.  So much disinformation and propaganda was published, broadcast so far and wide, Winchester was forced to take them off the market.  Only to release the same bullet again under the SXT (Same eXact Thing?) name less the black coating.  SXT was later improved upon to work better against multiple clothing layers manufactures began to consider FBI protcals.  Presto' magic, voila Ranger T!
PS....  Ironically Winchester Ranger T is still a favorite of law inforcement agencies all over the county.

Thanks Rojo, still kind of fond of the original ones even though I have been able to acquire the modern day T series : )
