10 Round

Okay, so call me a disbeliever. I have to try it for myself. I did once before and thought it was okay. But then everybody said, oh no, it's to this or to that. Well, I just tried 12 grains on a 180 grain 10 mm bullet, it's friggin', great as far as Accuracy, I will load 5 more tomorrow and do a speed test.
Now, this is with a G29 with a short barrel. So that may be the big difference. And it felt fairly stout, so I'm expecting eleven hundreds tomorrow.

Yep, here is some data that shows 2400 loads that includes pressure values.
Sad thing now is Alliant no longer provides pressure values with new loading info!

Okay, check bullet speed today. 1050 fps through g29.
I also noticed, but the brass comes out. Really clean?

That is nothin to sneeze at.  Sure it falls a bit shy of "full house" 10mm, it will beat many factory loads.  And you have some room to go up.

I kinda regret buying my G29. The stubby grip makes no sense on a 10mm and the rest is still bulky like a G20. I own the G40 and like the grip and ratio much better. I never managed to carry my G29, its just too fat for our t-shirt and shorts weather year-round. It prints and said shorts sit sideways.

Full house 10mm loads make it feel too snappy, even with pinky extensions.

Now the damn thing lives under my pillow with a laser sight, in case somebody manages to break in and get to my bedroom door.

All true.

I have given lots of thought as to why ammo companies don't load 40S&W and 10mm anywhere close to what they're capable of.

I understand about not going "max powder charges" on everything to give at least some cushion for safety and liability.  But, c'mon.  They can at least get them better than 380 and 9mm levels without even breaking a sweat.

Then I consider that the majority of people BUYING ammo are just generally ignorant and then finally, my last thought is because the ammo companies are able to get by with loading anemic ammo because a majority of people buying it are ignorant so the ammo companies like that because they don't have to buy as much powder and it's more profit in their pocket.

I would welcome anyone try to convince me otherwise.  But fair warning, anyone will have a difficult time doing so because I think I'm right.

This post checked by independent fact checkers, and they're all pissed off about it.

Back in the days when I went places (the office) the G29 was my go-to for IWB. Now that I am 100% remote I carry OWB 99% of the time and I don't bother with the smaller gun.

But the G29 works well for me - Pinky extension is required though.

When Florida finally becomes open carry, I will carry OWB too. While short-lived printing is no issue, I have had situations where the t-shirt lifted on top of the firearm and it took me a while to realize.

Luckily I live in a very red county. Everybody is packin.
