BEEMER!

Here are the reasons Boberg says that his XR45 will have the approximate recoil of a full sized 1911 while weighing only 21 ounces.

XR45 Recoil-reducing features:

1. Rotating barrel puts some rearward recoil into torque

2. Rotating barrel acts as gyroscope as gun tilts (reduces muzzle flip)

3. Longer barrel yields longer forward impulse (less rearward)

4. 2" long slide stroke

5. Mid-buffer (split unlock block dissipates barrel stoppage energy sideways into frame and slows down slide)

6. Rear buffer (case rubbing against breech face)

7. Trampoline back strap with palm swell that flattens out during recoil

8. Gain-twist rifling (smooths out slide acceleration)

9. 3/8" long full locking delay (I keep forgetting this one) - compared to others at zero to 1/16" - slows down the slide
