First time out with the new frame, old ammo.

Finally made it out again.  The replacment frame was complemented with a new 22# spring and a new LWD barrel.  I had 101 rounds of the same 11.5g Pistol Power/135g Nosler loads that left me with the head separation and cost me the frame.

The Lone Wolf has a tighter chamber, and I loaded 5 rounds at 11g, 5 rounds at 11.2g, and 5 rounds at 11.4g with new brass.  I stepped through those with no signs of over-pressure, so I proceeded to the prior loading (purged of PPU brass of course).

The results were not a surprise.  I was expecting to see some pressure signs with the tighter chamber, and you could see where the feed ramp was in about 25% of the cases, most of those were extremely light and couldn't be seen except in the best of light.  Of the 98 recovered cases, 6 of the marks could be barely felt with my thumbnail.

.429, .428, .428, .428, .430, .429 are the measurements of these six cases.  This is about .005" to .007" smaller that the stock barrel with cases that showed no feed ramp marks.  The rest were quite uniformly .427".  I think I'll back of a tenth of a grain and call the load good.

All of the handloads fed well with the Lone Wolf, except I had one magazine that was locking the slide back with the last round in the chamber each and every time.

I was questioning how the Underwood 135 would compare, so I sent 5 down range.  I think they showed less pressure, but feeding was a major issue.  The stock barrel /stock spring feed them fine.

Glad that this are back and running, good luck figuring out the slide lock back issue...

I tend to keep the magazines too full too much of the time.  I'll try a spring, and if that doesn't do it, just get another.  Might be why the Underwood isn't feeding well too.
