QC10 AR Build

Greetings all,
I am new to this forum but i am huge fan of the 10mm cartridge and I'm happy to connect with other like minded people. I am reaching out with a request for help unfortunately. After 2 years and budget that has gotten me more than a couple dubious looks from my fiance, i should have a completed 10mm carbine. However, after receiving the upper this past week i have all the parts but they won't fit together. I habe told to remove the hook shaped ejector on the QC10 lower and from there it should be smooth sailing. Has anyone else done this and is it actually a good idea or is there a better option. I am dying to get it out to the range and the only thing holding me back now is this issue. Thanks for any and all input.

I have this QC10 lower, but Pablo is right, a picture would refresh my memory. I recall having to drive out a pin to pull this ejector. The QC10 lower is designed for a blowback system, not a gas impingement system.
