I will be at my capital that day.  One nice thing about Utah, state government buildings all allow carry, so I don't even have to shed my 2A rights to at a 2A rally!

I went to my capital, awesome time.  there was close to 2k that showed and not one person pulled a stupid.  the lone state trooper looked bored   I have plenty of pics on my fb page, I can bring them here if you want

I went to mine and took a couple of friends.  No altercations of any sort.  Had several good speakers.  Estimates I read in the news were 3,000 people on the Utah capital steps, which I have no problem believing.

Utah allows carry on government property, so I would guess most of those 3K were armed.  About 45% were open-carrying, and about 20% had patrol rifles of one kind or another.  Bunch of Nagants as well.

Nutnfancy of Youtube fame was one of the speakers.  He gave a shout out to the 10mm crowd when he suggested the best way to prevent a tragedy like Sandy Hook was to arm teachers with "a Glock 20 and lots of extra mags!".
