Vltor Wade- We know that there has been much delay in the Bren project, but we are anticipating a press release about the progress we have made and an anticipated release date this year.

I don't see the benefit or gain.  But it's their choice and maybe I'm missing something.

Do any Gov't Agencies/LE use Vltor products?
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

I wish more gun companies would not sell to LEO if the people are restricted. Love it!

Really, unless the major companies join the 'boycott' it doesn't mean much. Companies that do move from these states will make a statement.

I can understand them not wanting to sell to LE agencies of the offending states. Hey, maybe that will put us back to H&K.  ;)

I do have a problem with them not selling to individual officers though. So, because I am an LEO in NJ I can't buy a Vltor product? Why is this legislation my fault? I am hurt by it as much as anybody else.

I'm not LE but was thinking the same.  Just because one is employed by the bureaucracy doesn't mean they hold a similar overall viewpoint regarding the legislation they've passed by majority to make it happen.  And maybe my thought is wrong on this, but when the average LEO is off the clock, aren't they at least loosely back to non LEO status again?  Anyway, it doesn't seem right to me.

Technically we are "on duty" 24/7. But I can count the times on one hand I have gotten involved off duty in my 24 years of service time.

I just don't know what the individual officer has to do with the legislation. It's like they are punishing the wrong people.

I agree with you on this. I don't have a link but I read somewhere of a response from Magpul addressing just this issue. Personally I see no point in punishing individual LEOs for government legislation. It's hardly their fault. As I stated above manufacturers leaving states with draconian laws makes more of a statement............hell, in this area good jobs are very scarce. For a company to move requires spending capital and serious economic risk.

Sadly, we are becoming two countries that share the same language and government. Gun control only being one of the issues with totally opposing views/beliefs. Doesn't bode well for our future.

4949shooter

Yep...it most definately doesn't bode well for the future.

I think it sucks too, not selling to individuals.

But, to accomplish their objective of denying governement agencies access to the benefits of their product, this is needed.  Otherwise the departments will just add VLTOR products to the list of approved private weapons officers can use on duty.  The may even implement reimbursement programs for officers that buy them and use them on company time.

4949shooter

I actually agree with not selling to the government agencies. It bothers me they would hurt the individual LEO though.
