Thanks for bring this up Ken.

Does anyone have any experience with this rifle?  About 1/2 the price of a CMMG and just a little more than the Hi point carbine 10mm. (I know I'm comparing apples to oranges to bananas)

I looked into these in the past. They did not prove to be reliable...at all. I suspect you could custom-tune a load that would be more reliable, but I guarantee it wouldn't be full-house 10mm, and in doing so you loose the versatility of the cartridge.

Too bad...it's a nice, simple set-up. If it was as reliable as the Banshee I'd prefer it.

FWIW, the premiss of a airplane gun is a complete gimmick. I've got just over 2,600 hours of backcountry flying, both private and commercial, and I've never needed a long gun or thought that the weight was worth the utility. If I ever did decide one was warranted, it wouldn't be a PCC.

I have had mine for a couple of years now. I had to send it back once and did some polishing on the feed ramp after I got it back. It runs great now. Just my experience.

Thanks Ten2six, will have to give them a call to see, and (hopefully) find out how willing they are to deal with any problematic issues I may encounter. As for the price, it would be hard to beat providing it functions properly

I looked into those a couple of years back, before I bought my RWM 10mm carbine. Seems like they were having some teething problems at the time. One of the others I looked at was the Just Right Carbine in 10mm as they're about the same money. Both are blowback. The JRC is much tougher to clean. I have one in 9mm. The JRCs will run, but the only option is Glock mags.

The complaints I heard most often with the TNW were reliability, and the grip. You can replace the grip with a standard AR grip. It also didn't seem to be designed to get a lot of use. Others that have one may chime in on that.

There was a small company out of Wisconsin called Thureon Defense that also made a 10mm PCC that was a couple hundred more.

I believe the TNW and I know the JRC can be set up for left side ejection. A nice feature for lefties, like us.

Being left handed also, that was an added attraction for me As well. Unfortunately I couldn't get to run reliably in that configuration. So I switched it back.

i bought one last year in 10mm and haven't had any problems. It's built to take the heavy duty loads. I bought the 45acp conversion kit and it's rated for 45 Super as well and will also utilize the 460 Rowland with a barrel change which is way more power than the 10mm. You can also buy the conversion kits to shoot 9mm, 357 Sig, and 40 S&W. The reports I have seen with initial runs were problems in the 9mm platform but I think they have solved those problems. Right now I'm running mine as a 45acp and shooting Underwood 45 Super loads in it but will probably start shooting more 45acp ammo in it since I have a lot more of that than the 45 Super. I have the Underwood 45acp+P loads to shoot as well. It takes Glock mags and I have no problems with function.

I have one in 10mm, 40, 9mm, and 45. 10mm and 40 work great. 9mm not so much. I'm going to try some different buffers with the 9mm.

I have yet to try the 45 setup.

Oh, and yes Kenk, TNW support is horrendous. They just don't respond to email. You have to call them.
