Mayhap?s a flat bottom firing pin stop. If you ever need to send it in for warranty work or upgrades, ask for Shawn Fairbairn, their chief smith at the Nevada facility. Mine had a detent issue with the safety, every 2 or 3 rd?s of something hotter like Underwoods 135gr, and the safety would engage. I sent it in and Shawn had it back to me in aprx two week

where do I find a firing pin stop? as for recoil springs what weight are they, if not where do i find and what is needed? Will the recoil springs for a Ruger 1omm work? I have several extra.

Thanks
Rick B.

Hey Rick, depending on how handy you are, you may be able to do the firing pin stop yourself. If not, contact Shawn at shawn@armscor.com and he can fit it for you. As for the recoil spring and assembly, unless I?m mistaken, I believe he said the factory spring setup should work fine for all loads. Email him with any questions, he is very helpful

EGW series 70 oversize stop.  Needs a bit of filing, just go slow.

Wyocaddis

No one mentioned springs. I take that as they come with a heavier recoil spring?

Ok an EGW flat bottom firing pi stop ordered as well as 2, 22lb springs.
Thanks all
P.S. the gun comes factory with 20lb recoil spring.

Working through a lot of issues with my new Ultra FS.  Last issue seems to be slide locking back on non-empty magazine.  22 lb cured most of it but every few magazines it still happens.  Installed 24 lb spring but have not tested it yet.

I have a 24 on hand just in case I need it

PSA takes its sweet time to ship. Still hasn't sipped yet 7 days and counting.

I had failure to fire problems.  Replaced mainspring (hammer spring) with GI spring and firing pin spring with standard and solved that problem.

Wyocaddis

I think I would have shipped it back and had them make it right.

For sure, their warranty and upgrade turnaround time is extremely fast, at least in my experience

I didn't think it worth the hassle to send the pistol back just to change springs I already had on hand.  Had I needed to make any irreversible changes to the pistol I would send it back.  I bought the pistol expecting there would some issues at the price point and I was right.  In general the pistol is well made - again considering the price.

The one thing I really do not like about the pistol and would rule it out for any use other than fun/sport is the reverse guide rod plug and the need for a tool to disassemble the pistol.  I see no point in that design.

Kenk

The disassembly is a bit odd.The first time I took it down using a paper clip, the guide rod spring got away from me and totally nailed me in the chest. From that time forward I?d put on the safety glasses until I got the hang of it.
