Here are some of the components I obtained for this 308 Winchester project...
Will be loading them with Hodgdon 223CFE powder as I get the time to work on this project.
Over 260 Nickel 308 brass mostly Federal Cartridge.

250 of the 179gr Terminal Match Boat Tail HP from American Reloader

Also got these Starline 308 Win brass while browsing Sportsman's Wearhouse a while back...

I stock 2 categories of brass:

1.) Starline for all ladders, SD / HD, benchrest.

2.) Mil and range findings for average range days.

That being said, I avoid nickle like the plague. It's so damn stiff and brittle, and they don't last.

The nickel brass basically gifted to me from a good friend of mine for a handshake.  But being the man I am I slid $30 into his hand just because of the things he does at times.  Heck last time he gave me 500 230 grain 45 new Hornady bullets and 44 and 45 cast bullets he didn't need and a bunch of 7mm cartridges and 6.5 cartridges that all needed to be pulled to salvage bullets.

Now that is a gift I would not turn away. It beats being on all fours at the range, like a bum.  ;D

On the other hand, I love finding rare caliber brass. I'm known to have bought firearms and dies jest because I found some odd casings. And I only buy the top of the line Redding dies too.......

Been there done that I may not be a bum but the wife calls me an ass

Well managed to get all the primer pockets cleaned and New CCI 200 primers are installed using the Ram Prime setup working on the top of the press adjusted for precise seating depth.  I leave the press handle in the down position to place the primer in the seating stem, raise the handle just enough which lowers the primer seater for the case to slide into the shellholder, then lower the handle to seat the primer.  The weight of the press handle is almost enough the seat them, just a light push down.

I have never used the Ram Prime, but have recommended it quite often as one of the cheapest priming options.  Good to hear you like it and that my recommendations are for something other than price.

When I just have a small group to prime I use my Lee Breechlock Challenger press with it's built in primer set up.  It primes on the up-stroke and doesn't offer the same seating depth control the Ram Prime does, but for just a few cases it is faster than setting up other options.  I used it yesterday as I had about a dozen cases to prime.
