A fine weapon the High Point is not.  I have a friend with one.  Heavy, uncomfortable to shoot.

But it was very inexpensive and it always goes bang.  If you have only a little budget and want a solid gun, the High Point is workable.

Thanks for your balanced& honest reply,.. my point exactly. I find gun snobbery kind of offensive if i'm completely honest. (And the flexibility of sharing magazines between the pistold and carbines is very handy indeed)

My HiPoint 4085 Carbine is now running fine after a small factory hiccup. Eventually would love to do a Hi-Point 10mm conversion

I badly want a 40 Carbine~ i think they look great too, i love the sneers when i bring up the brand as well/ it cracks me up. (Great little carbines)

How was the warranty service? Pretty impressive i'm betting.

I'll stick with my Mechtech in 10mm.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

How much did that bad boy cost?
I have my 10mm AR SBR.
I  don't like HiPoint pistols for many of the reasons mentioned but carbine is an excellent value.

I had never even heard of these until this forum so im trying to catch up~ good stuff huh?

They are ugly and heavy. But $235 new. Stock sights are decent and accuracy surprising. I only bought one because I wanted a low cost 40 carbine.

You need a bar of soap jammed in your mouth! LOL

Hah I'm not a super gun snob. Fit, function, form are all important. Function can be the most key.

If i ever find a cheap .40 (under 100 used one) i will ream it to 10mm. Usually find 9mm ones all the time in the 75 to 100 range. No way am i paying retail for a new one of these pieces of junk.. yeah i have owned one and had it completely apart... quality they are not. They are uglier than a mud fence and my stepsister but they seem to be reliable.

So, you dont like them,.. They are ugly,.. They work,.. AND YOU WANT ONE,. ROFL,..

Just dont want buddies to see her in the safe huh?,..   SCREW WHAT OTHERS THINK I SAY, its my gun, if i like "X" gun, i like it. I get a kick out of the implied Hi-Point taboo silliness.

Matter of fact~ i'll gladly discuss (LOL) buying any and all Hi-Points from members here/ ANY HI-POINT. (But remember/ they are "undesirable junk", so lets keep that in mind)   ;)

Never said I wanted one jackass. But I would buy a real cheap one to ream just to see what it takes to make it work. They are pretty much junk, other wise they would retain value. They come right out and say it or at least to that you shouldn't shoot them a lot because they wear out fast, wording to effect was in the manuals to the pistols at one time. May still be.

Can you see the humor in your reply?, while calling me a jack ass, but doubling down on wanting one.. While still claiming they are crap..   ROFL

Dont get worked up man, ITS OK~ NO ONE NEEDS TO KNOW YOU WILL OWN IT.

Gun snobbery peer pressure is a very strong thing~ i get it!

(Back up and read the posts~ the fact that you replied the way you did is funny, while illustrating my point. Its all good man/ so what, you want one,.. Big deal. Hell i like thicker girls too)
