I helped a friend assemble 3 AR-15 lowers last night.  All three were from Anderson.  One used a PSA classic lower parts kit with a carbine stock, one a PSA Magpul MOE kit, and the last one was a Delton kit with an A2 fixed stock.

We did the PSA classic first.  The grip screw bottomed out before the grip was tight. I ran a 1/4-28 tap all the way through and that fixed the issue.  The Magpul grip came with a much shorter grip screw, and would have worked fine, but I had already preemptively tapped the other two lowers.  The Delton kit with a standard A2 stock and grip had the longer grip screw and would have bottomed out if we had not tapped the lower.

Just and FYI.  Anderson lowers are great for the money, but check your grip screw length before you get your fire control group in or you will get extra practice with the fire control group.

I have has grip screws bottom out with their lowers as well. Not a big deal to fix.

Yeah.  1 minute to fix if you catch it before the fire control group is installed.  A frustrating 10 if you catch it after.

yes.  Standard sale price.

Primary Arms had them about three months ago for $34.99.

I paid $35.99 each for mine about 8 months ago from aim.. less than $100 shipped and transferred to me, id call that a heck of a deal for two lowers.

Just assembled one of my Anderson lowers. I found the pivot pin to be VERY tight.  Were I starting over I would work it back and forth a good number of times before I installed the detent and spring.

Other than that, it was great.  Dimensionally sound.

I finally made it to my FFL, after my TN Arms lowers got in.  I feel like a kid at Christmas.  Three Ar-15 lowers, two TN Arms 308 lowers and a Palmetto State Armory PA-10 lower.  I have barrels coming next week for 308 and 5.56, as well as one carbine barrel on hand.

Give me a couple weeks and I will have three more "black guns" rockin and rolling.  And three more after that by the beginning of summer.
