What is different? My buddy came over with his 40 yesterday and I compared it and my model 20s frame side by side. While it wasn't a detailed examination I didn't see any differences.

My model 41 is also the same frame.

I'm not sure if their the same but Glock has offered a 6" hunting barrel for the model 20 for several years now.https://store.teamglock.com/gun-parts/slide-parts/barrels/barrel-g20-10mm-6-hunting-barrel.html  I wouldn't be surprised is they were one in the same.
