Odd, I don't see anything about this in the US media this morning. Perhaps they could make it retroactive and apply it against the DOJ and BAFT.

I see them saying "This legislation makes sense" and that they are "hamstrung" today in preventing these purchases.

Pretty sure this is already illegal.  So, we are making it MORE illegal?

I believe they are just increasing the penalties for something that is already illegal....unless the govmint is behind it. Like Fast & Furious or the botch job in Milwaukee.
